Why I Decided to Cut My Hair

I have always wanted my hair long. In fact, I cannot imagine myself sporting short hair. This is why it took one important milestone in my life to have my hair cut by about 10 inches.

Welcome to Junior High

The milestone I am talking about is my first year in junior high. I wanted a new beginning in every sense of the word. So goodbye to very long hair and hello to mid length hair when we headed off to Justine Barbara Salon

Taking Care of Myself

My mother and I had a heart-to-heart talk right after the grade school graduation. She reminded me that I had to learn to do more things on my own now. This of course includes managing my hair which was admittedly very hard when it was very long. It was one of the reasons why I usually find myself beating the bell on school days.

Why Am I Teary-Eyed?

For the past years, it has always been the usual 1-2 inch trim just to keep the ends healthy. This time, the 10 inch cut made me teary-eyed. It didn't help that that hairdresser assistant kept on saying how "sayang" it was to cut my hair. I almost changed my mind but I'm glad I stayed put.

New Hair Cut For Me

I love my new hair cut because it is a good compromise. Just right to make it manageable but easy enough to let it grow again if I decide that I really want extraordinarily long hair. By that time, I expect to be able to manage it wonderfully with the help of the right hair products and lots of common sense.
